Texas Prime Meet

As you can see from the videos below, Katie had an excellent competition at the Texas Prime Meet. She won the all around (37.100), beam (9.550), floor (9.350) individually, shared the bars title (9.300) and also helped the WOGA team it a second place finish. Full results from the competition have been added. Congratulations on a great meet Katie!

Texas Prime Meet

Katie competed at the Texas Prime Meet at Texas Dreams Gymnastics on Friday. The meet is hosted by 1991 World All Around Champion Kym Zmeskal. Here are videos of Katie's four routine at the event. More information to follow soon.

Bronze on Beam At WOGA Classic

Last weekend Kate competed at her home invitational, the WOGA Classic, for the last time. The WOGA Level 10 team won the competition and individually in her age division Katie finished =6th all around, 3rd on balance beam (9.375) and in the top ten on the other three aparatus. Full results from the competition have been added. Congratulations Katie!

Season Commences

Katie's season began at the Metroplex Challenge over the weekend. She finished 7th all around and won a bronze medal on balance beam. We have added her results. Katie's next meet is the WOGA Classic this coming weekend in Frisco.

Celebrating Becoming A Wildcat!

Katie signed her letter of intent to compete for the University of Arizona in front of friends and family at WOGA late last year. The Matusik's also held a party to mark the occasion. We have added photographs from both events. Congratulations to Katie's WOGA teammates on their NCAA recruitment: Kailey Tissue (Florida), Catherine Nguyen (Stanford), Philip Onorato (OSU), Caleb Fennell (Nebraska).

Katie Commits to University of Arizona

Katie is really excited to announce that she has verbally committed to the University of Arizona! She is looking forward to joining the Wildcats for the 2008/09 Season! Congratulations Katie!

Career Best At JO Nationals

Katie finished another exciting competition season with a trip to her third JO National Championships. She also finished the season with her best results at Nationals finishing 14th all around in the Senior A division including a 4th place finish in balance beam with a 9.550! Beam has been a particularly strong event for Katie this year. She also finished 2nd at States and was the Region III Champion on this event in 2007! In 2008 Katie will be a high school Senior and will be competing in her last season for WOGA. Look out for all of the news and results when competition gets underway!
