Welcome to Gymstarz! A small gymnastics website dedicated to the efforts of gymnasts throughout the world. As a part of that dedication we are happy and honored to host a number of official websites and tributes for athletes from all corners of the globe. Each website seeks to introduce the athletes to the enormous worldwide gymnastics audience through the fastest growing media resource - the world wide web. The athletes all contribute on a personal level to each site and as such provide an insight into their lives as a high level or elite gymnasts. Gymstarz presents another exclusive photo gallery from the 2003 European Team Cup 1/4 meet in cooperation with our old bud, somebodyelseslife.com. The competion was held in Jyv?skyl?, Finland on 8th November 2003 and featured some of the top male gymnasts from three countries, Finland, France and Germany. 2003 FINNISH CHAMPIONSHIPS ANIMATIONS

Gymstarz proubly presents a small event finals animation collection from the 2003 Finnish Championships, which was held in Helsinki, Finland on 11-12 July 2003. The competition featured the country's top senior gymnasts in women's and men's artistic gymnastics. While smaller than the full mpeg versions, these animated clips from the event finals may still take a few minutes to download depending on the speed of your connection but they are well worth the wait! 1999 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz presents an exclusive photo gallery from the 1999 World Championships in cooperation with GYMPHOTO, which was held in Tianjin, China on 7th-16th October 1999. Conducted during non-Olympic years, the World Championships brang together the best women and men gymnasts from all over the world to compete for the precious World Championships titles. Most importantly, the event determined the teams and individual athletes who qualified for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. China easly won the men's team title while Romania captured the women's team title just 0.818 points over Russia. Nikolai Kryukovo of Russia and Maria Olaru of Romania won the individual all-around titles. - view the photo gallery


2003 FINNISH CUP FINALS PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz presents an exclusive photo gallery from the 2003 Finnish Cup Finals. The annual competition was held in Jyv?skyl?, Finland on 12th-13th April 2003, featuring the country's best senior female and male gymnasts, who hope to earn their way to the 2004 Olympic Games. The young newcomer Kiira Kokko of STVK shone in the women's competition by placing first in every event and Jani Tanskanen of Jyvo posted the highest score of the competition on high bar. Women's competiton was also at the same time the first team trials for the 2003 World Championships. Kiira Kokko placed first, Mira Laitila of STVK placed second and Annamari Maaranen of TV and Maria Skytt? of STVK tied the third place. - view the photo gallery

Trained at Aiken Gymnastics in South Carolina, Grace Taylor is another member of the fantastic generation of gymnasts currently emerging from the United States of American - all with aspirations for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Under the current code of points, where artistry seems to be suffering at the hands of the quest for higher start values, Grace's gymnastics is both charming and captivating. 2003 FINNISH JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz traveled to Tampere, Finland for the 2003 Finnish Junior Championships this past weekend. We are happy to present an exclusive photo gallery from the event, which featured the future gymnastics stars from all over the country. Results from the event will help determine Finland's junior team members for the annual Northern European Championships and European Youth Olympic Days. The all-around competition was won by a former 2001-2002 TOPS team member, Aino Aura of Tampereen Voimistelijat with a 30.100. Another gymnast from the same club, Petra Salo placed second with a 29.450 while Noora Lappetel?inen of Kuusamon Urheilijat was third with a 29.200. - view the photo gallery


2001 SWISS CUP PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz presents another exclusive photo gallery in cooperation with David Mordasini. This time from the 23rd annual 2001 Swiss Cup. The competition was held in Zurich, Switzerland on 18th Novemeber 2001 and featured some of the world's top female and male gymnasts, including the veteran gymnast Oksana Chusovitina of Uzbekistan and the Olympic floor and vault winner Elena Zamolodchikova of Russia. The competition was won by Romanian pair Marian Dragulescu and Silvia Stroescu, while Bulgaria's veteran pair Jordan Jovtchev and Evgenia Kuznetsova placed second and mixed pair Dimitri Karbanenko of France and Jana Komrskova of Czech Republic third. - view the photo gallery


2001 M?MORIAL ARTHUR GANDER PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz presents an exclusive photo gallery from the 2001 M?morial Arthur Gander. The 18th annual competition was held in Morges, Switzerland on 14th Novemeber 2001 and featured some of the world's top female and male gymnasts, including the veteran gymnast Oksana Chusovitina of Uzbekistan and the Olympic floor and vault winner Elena Zamolodchikova of Russia. The men's all-around competition was won by Belarussia's Olympian Ivan Ivankov. Dimitri Karbanenko of France and Marian Dragulescu of Romania placed second and third respectively. Uzbekistan's Oksana Chusovitina and Russia's new rising star Natalia Ziganshina tied the women's all-around title. While young Romanian Silvia Stroescu placed third. - view the photo gallery


2002 INTERNATIONAL RG MEET FOR JUNIORS AND KIDS PHOTO GALLERY

Gymstarz presents an exclusive photo gallery from the 2002 International RG Competition for Junior and Children. The annual competition was held in Helsinki, Finland on 30th Novemeber-1st December 2002 and it featured some of the top junior and children rhythmic gymnasts from Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. The all-around competition in the junior division was won by host gym's own Maria Ringinen while Estonia's Jekaterina Konnova captured the same title in the children category. Neva Stars gym from Russia won the team competition, while SK Shinnik from Ukraine and Elannon Isku from Finland placed second and third respectively. - view the photo gallery

So we guess this answers all of your questions! Yes it is true.... after months and months offline Gymstarz website is BACK! In truth we never really went disappeared totally we just accidently deleted the Gymstarz mainpage and took far to long to work up a new one! We hope you enjoy our new site collective or sorts.
